Fun Game...
Well, apparantly I've been "tagged"...unfortunately I'll be the loser, due to not having 6 people to tag in return..but this is a fun game anyway!!! Here goes...
1) My graduating class was the largest to come through Glendale with a whopping 98 graduates!
2) I aced the ASVAB and was just a physical away from joining the Army.
3) I was arrested when I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with Evan (long, stupid story!)
4) I love to snuggle up in the mornings with Evan, before our day starts...he won't want to do that much longer.
5) I love when Emileigh and I get lost in 3 hours of Gilmore Girls...not a bad show!
6) I miss Brittany more than I have told anyone...
Sorry I can't keep this one going...it is a great idea though!!

This week....whew!!
Well, I know it has been forever since I have blogged anything...computer issues are the biggest problem...hopefully that issue will be resolved soon, and I can upload some new and exciting pictures...in the meantime...
I had some unexpected health concerns over the last few weeks...seems I have a cyst/nodule on the left side of my thyroid. I have done some research online, and talked with my doctor, thyroid issues apparantly are not that big of a deal. Very treatable, and more like a chronic illness. Still, when it is happening to you, it seems like a HUGE deal, and I have to say a little scary. I have been through several tests (I will be radioactive for the next 4-5 days!)...the doctor's office called yesterday and said they had the results and needed me to come to the office to discuss my options...after thinking about it and Kenny offering (I guess he knew I wouldn't ask!) I took him on the offer to go with me to the doctor...and have FINALLY found out that the right side of my thyroid is not functioning, the nodule (toxic cyst) takes up the whole left side of my thyroid...and is very overactive...after reviewing all of the test results, my doctor has put my mind at ease that cancer is a very minute possibility...I have several options to consider, one of them being surgery...after talking to the doctor and Kenny, I'm thinking that will be the last resort...thank goodness we have a "Fink Day" planned this weekend, it will be nice to get their input, along with Kenny's, to make a decision what to do, or not to do...
whew!, I am so glad this part and this week are over!!

Tball 2008
Well, the 2008, tball season has come to a close. We lost the last game, which would have sent us to the tounament round, and eventually the championship game...the kids played really well, and were disappointed of course, but they certainly had ALOT to be proud of. As they say...you've come a long way baby!Evan was #7 (Paw Paw picked it after Mickey Mantle),and played right-center field...he got bored occasionally, but also made a couple of really good plays...I think we have decided if we get to pick his number next year...it will be #29, Brittany's number the last 4 years on varsity. Maybe it will bring him the same good luck it has brought her...would be nice to carry on that tradition, too!!
The last thing the team does together is a pizza party, at a local pizza place. I will unfortunately have to miss it, Brittany's graduation is the same day...but Evan is so excited...the will get to eat pizzz and best of all the trophies will be handed out!!!
It has been a very good season...and I hope he will stick with it....Seems like ball is in the family genes, so better go with it!!!

Happy Mother's Day, 2008!!!
Mother's Day is not usually one of my favorite holidays, for obvious reasons...but the things that make the day SO MUCH better are things like this....I came home from a date to my car being covered in messages from Brittany and Emileigh, and a flower that Brittany grew in her Ag Science class (or FFA, as we all know it!!)...Evan made me 2 very nice cards and a flower pot with his picture on a construction paper flower...and told me I was "the bestest mommy ever!...he got up this morning and made me a strawberry jelly (my favorite!) sandwich. He said he would have put peanut butter in it, but couldn't find the peanut butter....how sweet!! These are the things that make the day go so much better and make me appreciate the fact that my kids do love me, even if sometimes they make me question it!!!Happy Mother's Day, to we "old hat" mothers, and the new mothers!!
I love you all!!

Share Bears--April 2008
Evan had his last PTO performance last week. It was called The Share Bears. The 5th graders dressed up as bears and narrated a story. Evan (and the rest of the kindergarten class), sang songs between the narration. It was ADORABLE!!
These pictures are terrible, but he was so proud and just sang his little heart out. There was a song that involved some dancing, Evan definately has rhythm!! Hard to believe the school year is almost over and Evan will be a 1st grader!!
